About
Khadija is an RA in the CHORUS lab. She holds a Master of Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Computer Science (Minor in Psychology). Outside of research, you’ll find them gardening, building mobile apps or games, or throwing paint at miscellaneous surfaces and praying it sticks.
Research Interests
In a nutshell: human behaviour, usable privacy, censorship, equity, safety, and accessibility.
Khadija is interested in the privacy complications of DNA (genetic privacy), cognitive accessibility, the privacy of vulnerable populations, censorship, and information propagation – how misinformation, hate speech, and other antagonistic content spreads online, and effectively curbing it (e.g.: through guidelines, policy, or education). And then some.
Beyond the realm of privacy, Khadija is interested in human behaviour in emergencies, the usability of critical systems, and most things human-behaviour-related in general.
