The SERENE-RISC 2015 Spring Workshop will take place in Ottawa on April 22 and 23. The workshop theme is “Cybersecurity futures: Toward a healthy digital ecosystem”.  It aims to move beyond the usual catastrophic discourse on the impending breakdown of critical infrastructures provoked by malicious actors and state-sponsored attacks. The 2nd SERENE workshop, entitled "Cybersecurity metrics for better decision-making: a Canadian perspective", was held at the Ottawa Convention Centre Oct 21-22.  The event was sold out and attracted participants from several government departments, police forces, industry, and academics. We've just returned from another great SOUPS conference. SOUPS 2014 marked the 10th year for the conference, which was held at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park this year. Shuja's master's work on gesture passwords for mobile devices was presented by Robert in the WAY workshop. Hala presented a poster on the usability of mobile apps for TOR. Leah presents at Persuasive Technology 2014

We attended the annual Persuasive Technology conference in Padova, Italy. Leah presented three times during the conference about her visualization for security work.
