Hosting SHAD workshop

On July 16, members of the CHORUS lab are organizing a half-day workshop for SHAD high school students, introducing them to human-computer interaction. Participants will try out emerging technologies in this hands-on workshop and discuss on-going research in human-computer interaction. Masters of HCI student Becky Jeong successfully defended her thesis, Children and adults' perception of signal colours, symbols, and words in the context of cybersecurity warnings.  Her worked compared children and adults' interpretation of various symbols, colours, and words used on warning messages to determine how severe they would perceive threats described by these cues.
