Sonia receives 2021 Research Achievement Award

eCampus Ontario grant

We are happy to report that we recently received a 1-year eCampus Ontario Digital Inclusion Research grant to support Daniela Napoli's Master's research on usable security and privacy of users with visual impairments.   Her work explores the web-based barriers that screen-reader users face while identifying and managing digital threats. new NSERC CREATE grant

$250,000 in CFI, ORF, and industry infrastructure funding

Sonia Chiasson has been awarded $100,000 from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI)'s Leaders Opportunity Fund. This award will be matched by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation under the Ontario Research Fund and industry for a total grant of $250,000. These funds will be used to acquire research infrastructure for the CHORUS lab. CHORUS is a centre for multi-disciplinary research on improving computer security and privacy for end-users and for experts.
