The annual CLUE Symposium was held on May 15 at the IBM Campus in Ottawa. The event featured a keynote by Tanya Snook from CanUX, lightning talks and poster presentations by students, and four mini-workshops on various HCI topics.
CHORUS has several CLUE students who participated. Reham presented a 2-minute lightning talk about her privacy in social media research. Jessica presented a 2-minute talk about her work on social media privacy for teens with and without autism. Daniela presented a poster about her research on online security for users with visual impairments. Fiona presented a poster about her class project on wearables to augment tabletop games. Daniela also led a workshop on Design tips to help non-visual visitors stay safe online.
