We are organizing the USER Workshop on usable security user studies at SOUPS 2010. It will be held July 14, 2010 in Redmond, WA.
Workshop paper submission deadline: May 8, 2010, 5:00 pm PST
Notification of workshop paper acceptance: June 3, 2010
Final papers for website due: June 12, 2010, 5:00pm PST
The USER workshop is an opportunity for researchers to discuss their experiences in conducting user studies in usable security, and for newcomers to learn from this collective experience. We seek experiment reports on user studies in usable security. These should describe the experimental design and its reasoning, challenges and how these were addressed, insight to improve future studies, and reflections on the effectiveness or limitations of the study. We are also interested in novel approaches to quantitative or qualitative data analysis to evaluate either security or usability, perhaps drawing from approaches in other disciplines.
The 2010 USER Workshop Call for Papers is available on the SOUPS website.
